Seven Shots tells the true story of Hills, Iowa, a small town rocked by a violent incident stemming from the Farm Crisis of the 1980’s. Alternating footage of the tiny town as it exists today with portraits of destitute farmers from the collection of the Farm Security Administration, the film draws parallels between the tragedies of the Dust Bowl, a largely environmental disaster, and the Farm Crisis, which was brought on by the government and corporate greed.
