On March 8th, the Portland Music Video Festival concluded its fourth year with a completely sold-out show at the Hollywood Theater. I founded and directed the festival. My film Dead Mall has been nominated for three awards at the Creative Arts Film Festival in Philadelphia: Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Experimental Short Film.

In December, I was honored to visit Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, to give a workshop on film production. It was a fun visit, and I’d like to thank the Film program at WU for the invitation. I hope everyone found the workshop rewarding.
Dead Mall has been named an official selection of the Big Muddy Film Festival in Carbondale, Illinois. This is one of my favorite film festivals in the country, and I am honored to be screening there again.
Dead Mall screened in my old home city of Philadelphia at the Creative Arts Film Festival. I wish I could have made this one, as I haven’t been back to Philly in awhile, but unfortunately the timing did not work out.
