In December, I was honored to visit Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, to give a workshop on film production. It was a fun visit, and I’d like to thank the Film program at WU for the invitation. I hope everyone found the workshop rewarding.
Dead Mall has been named an official selection of the Big Muddy Film Festival in Carbondale, Illinois. This is one of my favorite film festivals in the country, and I am honored to be screening there again.
Dead Mall screened in my old home city of Philadelphia at the Creative Arts Film Festival. I wish I could have made this one, as I haven’t been back to Philly in awhile, but unfortunately the timing did not work out.
My short Dead Mall was an official selection of the Nevada International Film Festival in Las Vegas. The film won the Platinum Reel Award in the Short Film category at the festival.
My short film Dead Mall was exhibited online in the December 2016 edition of the North Portland Unknown Film Festival’s Unknown Television (which you can find here: http://www.northportlandunknown.com/unknown-television.html).
My dance film Forest of Sorrows screened recently in the Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes (International Short Film Festival of Mexico) in Mexico City. The film also recently screened in the Kraf International Short Film Festival in Croatia.
My experimental short Treetops recently screened in the Allucinema Fest in Puebla, Mexico.
I added a new video to the “Film Sketches” page of my website. It depicts a sunset behind my parents’ house in Illinois. I shot if in December with a GoPro when I was home visiting my parents for the holidays. Find it here: http://dustinmorrow.com/film-sketches/
